The ‘calculator’ on the Quit Line blog tells me:
264 days smoke free
9,504 cigarettes not smoked
Money saved $4,758.00
I can barely believe I have made it this far.
I have never managed so long without a cigarette since I started smoking at 14. My mum quit at the same time as me as she’s also still smoke free. I have such a sense of accomplishment it is hard to put into words.
What really shocks me is how much time at work I wasted outside smoking. I seem to be able to get so much more done now and in less time.
…one year smoke free here I come
Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteI have been smoke free for 6 years - mostly - theres been one or 2 since. Even now, I will pat my breast pocket to check that i have them or reach for them when i have that feeling.

ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS :) It looks great when you look at the figures like that and all that money saved, you could have a wonderful holiday with that.

Congratulations Lou!
ReplyDeleteMy mother died two years ago from lung cancer, so when I see someone quitting, it makes me feel so good!
Keep it up!
Thanks everyone for the support. I feel great to (almost) have this demon under control.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! It's been almost two years for me (May 4) but I still crave them. Sometimes I have a drag from Bill's cigarillos, but otherwise I'm cigarette free.
ReplyDeleteThis is very mucho good! I've been off the damned things almost 10 years, after 35 years of idiotic addiction. If you haven't already read it, take a look at my post about this back in January. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
