Two for Tuesday

I) Winter weather update, Papakura, NZ

It’s 6:50 pm on Tuesday evening and surprise, surprise it’s been pouring rain almost all day.

The temperature is slowly creeping up, the days are getting slightly longer and blossom is on the trees so spring must be coming. It sure seems to be taking its time though.

II) Cottage Envy

I love this cottage on it’s little gravel road with the huge old oak tree shading the place. It looks so wholesome.

  1. The landscape is quite a view. In South Florida a change in elevation of 3' can take 12 miles.

  2. I have weather envy, it has been 34c here for the past two days.

  3. The cottage looks like something out of a fairy tale. Very serene.

  4. So green, so lush. On a clear day you can see forever.

  5. Everytime you post your cottage envy I head to our MLS (real estate site) to see what is for sale. I love my place but need more view.

  6. I never realised Florida was so flat Punch - myself I like a bit of rolling hills like we get here.

Daze: Yuck, in August?? I just couldn't handle that.

I agree Bob - I would love to live there (as long as I could have a city apartment as well). I'm such a girl - I'd have a horse.

  7. Lori - too true. I can imagine how good and clean that country air would feel.

It can make me feel a bit restless too Joanne. There are such gorgeous places to live why are we living somewhere less than perfect for us and ours?

  8. Yeah, your spring is coming. I can tell by how cool our weather has been getting (I saw my breath the other morning when I got up) and by how much darker it's getting early.

Don't think badly of me but we get so much snow and darkness where I'm at that I really, really don't want summer to end. Would you be cool with a few more months of winter?

  9. Oh, pulease don't make me think about the winter! My favorite time is that finite few weeks when winter is just loosening it's grip and spring hasn't quite taken hold...then you know it's all gonna get green and bright and warm again. I'll mourn the first sign of changing leaves here in New York. Then, I'll come and live with you.

  10. Lol oh pantless one - in your dreams mate, I'm in the grip of seasonal affected disorder and badly, I mean badly need some sun. Sorry :-)

I know what you mean Kathryn - that's where we're at right now. Not so cold anymore and blossom on the trees but still rather cool and rainy - bring on the sun!!!

  11. I'm just thinking how adorably tiny - and therefore quickly cleaned - that cottage is!
