My name is Scout

DuPree and Bob did this surprisingly interesting internet quiz about what book matches your personality. It appears I am as below which is pretty cool seeing as I love this story -

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Perceived as a revolutionary and groundbreaking person, you have changed the minds of many people. While questioning the authority around you, you've also taken a significant amount of flack. But you've had the admirable guts to persevere. There's a weird guy in the neighbourhood using dubious means to protect you, but you're pretty sure it's worth it in the end. In the end, it remains unclear to you whether finches and mockingbirds get along in real life.

Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

  1. Fun idea!
I tried I found out I obviously am Prufrock and Other Observations! by T.S. Eliot
Though you are very short and often overshadowed, your voice is poetic and lyrical. Dark and brooding, you see the world as a hopeless effort of people trying to impress other people. Though you make reference to almost everything, you've really heard enough about Michelangelo. You measure out your life with coffee spoons.

    Wow!! :D

    Love

  4. I got: Ralph Ellison's The Invisible Man (which is a wonderful book and about race in the US, not Chevy Chase going transparent). It said:
Most of your life, people have either ignored you or told you that you were wrong. You've been duped, mistreated, misled, and neglected. Maybe it was because of your race, or some other uniqueness that people were quick to condemn, but now you just want to crawl into a hole and disappear. After all, nobody knows your name. But you just might speak for everyone.

  5. I must confess to not having read much Eliot Daniel (OK I'll be honest, none actually) but it does sound kind of like you? Maybe?

Go do it too Moko and Joanne, it's fun.

That's cool froggy - bit spooky though that there could be a Boo Radley looking out for you too lol.

How prophetic Vole - it really does sound like you. I agree it's a great book.

  6. I did this from Dupree's site.
The first one went on and on so it edited it.
Quiz 1 I am Herman Hesse's Siddhartha: You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try anything once.etc, etc.

Quiz 2 Shel Silversten's Where the Sidewalk Ends.
    Silly and crazy and kooky,
sometimes you can even be spooky.
You really like making folks laugh,
and you can do so more'n others by half.
You try to answer their questions,
or make fun of their indigestions,
but more than it all, through winter and fall,
    you make the weirdest suggestions!
