Jacaranda trees are in full bloom right now and on every street the beautiful lavender flower can be seen.
We had an orchid tree in our yard when we lived in Miami and it bloomed the most gorgeous pale lavender flowers.Your tree reminds me of that one.

No not fragrant Lori. I believe they're actually native to South America somewhere but they're very happy here too and grow quite enormous.
I never knew trees could be purple! My friend Emma has returned from her month in New Zealand heartbroken byher expulsion from paradise.
She got out at the right time Vole, our summer has turned up it's toes. Hopefully it'll be back shortly.
