August 12

I was browsing in Wikipedia and came across my date of birth. I thought it might be fun to search for an interesting person (alive or dead) who was born on the same day as me.

Peter Krause

I was amazed how many famous people were born on 12 August but this is who I chose to share with you here today.

It’s Peter Krause, star of Sports Night, Six Feet Under and Dirty, Sexy Money.

This guy was not only born on my birthday but actually in the same year which I thought was kind of cool as I think he’s a good actor (and I thought that even before I knew we were born on the same day). I was a really big fan of Six Feet Under.

How about sharing some information on someone who was born on your birthday?

If you do, don’t forget to link it back to me.

  1. Jason Dunham (November 10, 1981 – April 22, 2004) Dunham became the first Marine to receive the Medal of Honor for actions in Iraq, and the first Marine to receive the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. On April 14, 2004, Corporal Dunham was leading a Marine patrol near Husaybah, Iraq, investigating an attack on a Marine convoy. His patrol intercepted a number of cars spotted near the scene of the attack. An individual in one of the vehicles attacked Dunham. During the fighting, the individual dropped a live Mills bomb-type hand grenade. Dunham, to save the rest of his men, threw himself on the grenade, attempting to use his helmet to shield himself and others from the explosion.
I was going to put something glib in here. But I found this. I got a chill. He was born 6 years after me & whatever anybodies opinion of the Iraq situation is, he was a hero.... (sorry for the bring down)

  2. No apology necessary - he was a hero.

  3. PS Damn now I feel shallow as fuck!

  4. No time tonight to catch up on your posts. This has been a bad week for my family and I. I hope to get back tomorrow and make a few comments.

uamada, I have a similar story. Good thought, bro.

  5. Uamada, I'm not worthy to tie his shoelaces, what a hero. God bless and look after our men and women in uniform.

Lou, I have to tell you that I am in love with your country since it's provided the backdrop for our reality TV series "The Bachelor" for the past couple of episodes. So very beautiful is NZ. :)

Meant to tell my JS friend Dean from NZ that too, but I dunno where he is these days. :(

  6. Doanli are a couple of episodes being filmed here? Glad it's coming across well. We'll probably get to see it here in a year a so :-)

Make my day and leave a comment. C'mon you can do it.
