Resolutions? Not this year…

It’s December 31 and I’ve been thinking about a resolution for the new year. I read this quote somewhere earlier this year and it’s stuck with me so I’ve decided that my one and only new commitment to myself for the coming year is to try and live by the following mantra.

-----------------------------------------

Life is not a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a prettily preserved body, but rather, to skid in sideways in a shower of gravel - thoroughly used, utterly exhausted and loudly proclaiming 'Fuck me, that was BRILLIANT!'

  3. Can I get a hell-ya. My other fav. line is "be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground in the morning the devil himself says..oh shit, she's up."
As for that margarita you are dangling in front of me. That is torture. I was given a lovely bottle of Patron Tequila and a bottle of Grand Marnier at Christmas. If it was warmer here I would be all over some margaritas.

  6. Why - that's my personal mantra! I try to live that way every day and highly recommend it.

This is why parents should be cautious of showing their children "Auntie Mame" when they are young and impressionable.

    Happy New Year, Lou!!

  7. Happy New Year! Being as great of a person as you are, I think your resolution should be to continue to do what you're doing.

  8. Thank you all for your good wishes. I had a wonderful new years eve - lots and lots of laughs with my fabulous friends, multiple pitchers of margarita and watching the sun come up on the new year. It's 1.30pm on Jan 1 and I'm just heading off to bed shortly as am shattered. Hope you all see/saw in the new year with as much fun as I had.
