Later today I’m off with three girlfriends on a road trip for a few days. We’re heading to the Coromandel peninsula to get some sun, swim from the beautiful beaches and party into the night.
We have a rough plan and a couple of tentative motel bookings but basically we’ll be playing it by ear. We’ll head up the west coast of the peninsula where the most beautiful and secluded beaches are.
Sunscreen Towel/swimsuitToiletries and makeup
Sleeping bag and pillow (just in case)
Cute dress and high heels for going out at night
Phone and charger, iPod and charger, camera and charger
Chilly bin loaded with ice and wine and water and fruit
Manicure and pedicure booked and oops look at the time, better go now before I miss my appointment.
Catch you all in a couple of days. Be good.
I don't see any of the items from my hangover cures post on your list.
ReplyDeleteHave a blast.
Just got back from a couple of days there, it's a beautiful place. Coromandel Town is still quiet and charming, pity there's no supermarket tho.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely planning on going back, it's too nice a spot to not return to.
Enjoy your break.
I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteIt's 16-degrees here!
Grrrrrr and Brrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm packing now Lori and will give your recipe due consideration - it will be necessary without a doubt.
ReplyDeleteYeah I love it too Lorri, we'll head up further I think, my favourite place is Whangapoua and New Chums and we'll no doubt stop at gorgeous Papa Aroha as well on the way up.
Wish you could come Bob - you'd be a great addition to the team but I'm not sure that you'd be able to keep up.
Well must up and finished getting organised, I'm being collected in 25 mins.
Ciao all m'wah m'wah
PS that was a joke Bob in case you didn't make that assumption.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have packed both a sleeping bag and heels/going out dress, lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time. x
too cool, post some pics and have a great time!
ReplyDeleteYour trip to the beach sounds lovely, Lou. I couldn't attempt such, myself, however, since it will be at least April until I can get my skin resembling a shade other than blue (our temperatures have been well below freezing since New Year's Day, and it's been snowing since Sunday night!)
ReplyDeleteWait - do they have beaches for Smurfs down there?
WHY did you have to go and say "be good"? Now you've ruined it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fabulous time, sweetie! It's always so weird to hear you talk about things like it's summer there..... (I'm kidding...I know it is.)
Some people. Geez. You Kiwis are a wacky lot. Beaches? In January? Oh, wait...nevermind.
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip!
ReplyDeleteLove
Daniel
Lou, I will be living vicariously through your pictures when you return. It is very cold outside here and slightly windy. The sun is out, but that doesn't matter very much.
